How to clean a gas hob?

To clean a gas stove, remove any grate and burners, soak them for an hour in a bath of hot water and a little white vinegar and baking soda, then scrub off any encrusted deposits with a with a slightly soapy abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry.

How to clean an electric hob?

As you will no doubt have noticed, cleaning an electric hob, generally made up of cast iron plates, can be quite difficult, as stains tend to become embedded there. To remove them easily, slightly heat your plates and remove them with a cloth, taking care not to burn yourself.

For particularly stubborn stains, especially grease stains, soak them for about ten minutes in a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda which should leave them no chance. Then scrape with an abrasive sponge, rinse and dry.

To remove any rust stains from your electric plates, soak them with a mixture of lemon and salt for a few minutes then give them a good wipe with the sponge, before rinsing and drying.

How to clean a stainless steel hob?

Highly appreciated by professionals, stainless steel cookers are increasingly popular among individuals. Its qualities are not lacking (high resistance, impeccable hygiene, waterproofing, etc.), but its maintenance can be somewhat tedious. The slightest drop of water or fingerprint can be spotted immediately. You should therefore always finish your daily cleaning by polishing with a microfiber cloth. For encrusted deposits on your stainless steel hob, simply soften them with a little sparkling water, before rubbing with a slightly soapy sponge. Rinse then dry to avoid any traces.

Same problem with glass plates which can easily leave visible traces. After wiping with a soapy sponge and removing stubborn dirt by soaking it in a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda, don’t forget to polish with a microfiber cloth.
